Initiatives for
As the national authority for Cybersecurity the CCB has developed several initiatives for specific publics which are presented here.
The EWS is the CTI department's flagship project at the CCB. This unique, custom-built system enables continuous monitoring and customised alerts for organisations designated as essential under NIS2 in Belgium.
Organisations deemed essential under NIS2 can register at https://atwork.safeonweb.be/register-my-organisation
Based on the information provided, the organisation's designated point of contact will be invited to our EWS portal, where they can provide a comprehensive overview of their organisation's CTI information. Our cyber threat intelligence analysts then compare this information with data found through trusted partners on a daily basis. If imminent threats are identified, our analysts will reach out directly to provide organisations with accurate, actionable information. Think of this as an additional pair of eyes dedicated to helping your organisation stay safe — not as a replacement, but as an addition.
Below, we provide a detailed overview of what each part of this service entails.
On the EWS portal, you will find reports and alerts. These reports allow organisations to stay up to date on the latest developments and take action against any possible threats.
Here, organisations can provide the relevant information needed for spear-warnings (see below), such as contact details, domain names, IP addresses, etc.
We organise Connect & Share events (webinars and live events), where experts come together to discuss current threats and developments in cyber security, as well as other relevant topics. These events provide a valuable opportunity to meet people active in this field, exchange information, and expand your professional network.
Organisations that have joined our platform receive invitations to these events.
Connect & Share events vary from in-person to online sessions.
Recordings of these events can be found at: https://app.livestorm.co/ccb
The attack surface rating provides an overview of an organisation's overall security at a strategic level.
It can be used as a guideline to identify flaws requiring immediate attention, such as compromised systems, infections, and confirmed vulnerabilities.
Spear warnings are personalised alerts about intrusions, leaked credentials, vulnerable systems, and so on. These allow you to quickly obtain relevant information and take action.
The CCB sends out two types of warning: automatic and manual spear warnings. The CCB receives information on malicious activities and threats in Belgium, which we match with the data of organisations on our EWS system. Every day, our analysts review triggers from vulnerability scanning, dark web sales and certificate registrations. We then reach out directly to each organisation to provide timely and accurate warnings.
In short, the comprehensive services provided by the EWS are an essential complement to any organisation's security measures.
