The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium has been designated as the National Cybersecurity Certification Authority by Royal Decree (16/10/2022)

News

The CCB has been designated as the competent authority for cybersecurity certification, becoming the "National Cybersecurity Certification Authority" (NCCA). As the competent authority, it aims to strengthen confidence in cybersecurity certification through good cooperation with both the certification bodies, BELAC and vendors who want to offer certified products and services to their customers. To this end, the CCB consults with other authorities, participates in the development of certification schemes and informs the industry through various sectoral organisations.
To ensure confidence, an NCCA, as a competent authority, also has the ability to take corrective action and cooperate with NCCAs of other European member states. This allows certificates to be revoked, but also sanctions if certification is misused so that consumers can have confidence in the security level of certified products and services.
