The theme of Safer Internet Day is "Together for a Better Internet". The aim of this global awareness campaign is to encourage different actors to take up their responsibilities and make the internet a better world. And we all have a part to play in this: children, young people, parents, professionals and politicians. By highlighting positive initiatives and removing negative content, everyone can contribute to an innovative, inspiring and safe internet.

 

On the occasion of this international day, all actors working on media wisdom mobilise themselves and help young people by sensitising them and offering them the means to use social media with respect, prudence, curiosity and a critical mind.

 

You already know that Belgium is not missing from the game. The partners of the B-BICO project (Better Internet Consortium for kids), namely Child Focus, Media Animation, the CSEM and Mediawijs, are once again committed to making this day a success in terms of awareness raising and prevention. The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium also supports SID.
